CONCERT CAPTURE - PARA-PARA-PARAMORE!!! - 28/09/2013

Well what can I say? Yet again another post about an event that has happened aaaaages ago. But yet again I can't pass up the chance to textually babble about it, so here goes!!

After the long awaited release of their self-titled album PARAMORE (if you haven't heard of them where have you been?), the alt-punk-rock-pop group decided to embark on a world tour. I have personally been a fan of the group ever since I heard their single 'Pressure' in a Sims game (lol), so I would say I've been a Paramore fan for seven years now? Haha.

I and my best bud Lisa were in a panicky frenzy when we heard that the tickets were out, and boy where they selling out fast, we purchased a pair as soon we could. This being my second Paramore concert, I was filled with anticipation of finally getting to re-experience the great Paramore LIVE. I was also super buzzed to accompany Lisa (who I introduced to the band, yes I take full credit) to her first ever Paramore gig.

Ok so we were literally in the front row! Like, there was a row of people in front of us but seeing as I and Lisa both are around 6ft we had a clear view of the stage as we towered over them, and this enabled for us to experience intimate moments with the band members, not to mention the fact that we were able to grab some great kodak snaps.

HAYLEY WILLIAMS led the band with her powerful and diverse vocals, she sprinted and jumped around the stage with the energy that only a punk goddess could possess.

TAYLOR YORK strummed the lead guitar with sheer enthusiasm and a clear natural talent.

JEREMY DAVIS embodied the jazz and blues spirit when he plucked strings for his solo in the super funky 'Ain't It Fun'. (He even winked at I and Lisa who were getting down *fangirl/boy squeals*).

HAYLEY further showcased her versatility and wide vocal range powering through songs like 'Crushcrushcrush', 'That's What You Get', 'Misery Business' & 'Now'. I and Lisa sang ourselves hoarse with excitement.

HAYLEY commanded the crowd and got everyone singing and screaming in ecstatic unison with her play of 'call and answer'. Every so often she would interact with select members of the crowd, making the concert experience even more special and personal, something that PARAMORE never fail at doing.

JEREMY grooved and accompanied the rest of the band seamlessly. His musicality was particularly apparent during his bass guitar solos. He also ran around the stage exuding energy and charisma like no other.

Everyones eyes were on HAYLEY as she passionately opened her heart in performances of 'The Only Exception', 'In The Mourning' & 'Last Hope', further highlighting that PARAMORE are not simply a 'stamp your feet and headbang' band but that their songs are profound and meaningful expressions of teenage angst and emotion, a reason for their worldwide success. I and Lisa even shed a tear or two over the overwhelmingly emotional anthems.

Lisa even managed to catch a drumstick that TAYLOR threw into the crowd as the concert drew to a close. As you can tell by her expression she was extremely elated at the fact.

I just had to capture this rad moment, I felt like such a proud father.

We were sprayed with bright orange confetti, in the same tone of HAYLEY'S infamous cropped hair. HAYLEY bopped and bounced through the summer hit 'Still Into You' highlighting PARAMORE'S pop power and musical versatility.

HAYLEY expressed her love for her fans with open arms and it was clear that she was relishing in the moment and soaking it up as much as the crowd was.

The final bow of the night, and boy was it a night to be remembered. The whole experience itself is something that is indescribable, it's a 'you had to be there to know' kind of thing. The group received their much deserved roars of delight and boisterous rounds of applause.
